This May 26th through June 1st I had the pleasure of attending my very first NAFSA conference.  NAFSA being the leading organization in the field of international education and study abroad, the scope was grand.  Tossed into a sea of eight thousand educators and change makers from around the world, I felt privileged to be attending such an event.  You might be asking what brought me there...Well, a month prior a woman tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I was going to NAFSA, I had never heard of such a thing.  She said, "well I saw you at the forum on study abroad", an event that I happened upon through a friend, and so I investigated...A month later I took the plunge, megabused it to St. Louis, couch surfed with five other convention goers, and made friends for life.

Under the arch with Sam and Sunny, the most dynamic duo from AEA

The conference revealed new perspectives...

Like that of previous Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Anan...

Several hundred from booths around the world...

And an unmistakable glimpse of the gateway...

of surprises, like this appearance in Life After Study Abroad magazine...

And to the future of international education with a plan to build the most magical journal for all those wandering...

It shall be called... The Air Heart.

...The Study Abroad journal.
